Queens Univ GAA teams visit Canton this weekend

The Irish Cultural Centre of Greater Boston in Canton is hosting Gaelic Athletic Association (GAA) teams from Queen’s University this Saturday and Sunday (June 15, 16) for the first time in more than 40 years, offering an exciting opportunity for local families and enthusiasts to be a part of a historic match at the ICC and enjoy some Gaelic football! There will also be a Kid’s Camp on Sunday.

Following is weekend schedule:

 

Saturday

12:45 p.m. – Boston Police Gaelic Column march around the pitch with the Ladies and then National Anthems 

1p.m. – Queen’s Women vs. USGAA Select Women (At the ICC’s A Field)

 2:45 p.m. – Boston Police Gaelic Column march around the pitch with Men's teams then National Anthems

 3 p.m. –  Queen’s Men vs. USGAA Select Men  (At the ICC’s A field)

6 p.m. – Reception/Dinner in the ICC Tent, followed by opening tent to all with Strawberry Hill Band

Sunday

Noon-1:30 – Queen’s hosts a Kids’ Camp, followed by a watch party of the GAA games 

Evening – Party in the tent celebrating the weekend.
