The Boston Irish Reporter, the region’s leading chronicler of all things Irish-American, will host “Boston Irish Honors 2013” on Fri., Oct. 25, in the main ballroom of Boston’s Seaport Hotel. This fourth annual event will draw an appreciative audience of some 400 top Boston business and civic leaders and officials of Boston’s many Irish social and cultural organizations. The event committee chairman is Edmund Murphy, Managing Director, Putnam Investments.
“The Irish Reporter is pleased to host this fourth annual celebratory luncheon,” said publisher Ed Forry. “In celebration of our Boston Irish heritage, the newspaper will give special recognition to Senate President Therese Murray; the family of Robert A. Mulligan, Gerald T. Mulligan, and their late brother Joseph Mulligan Jr; and the late attorney John P. Driscoll, Jr.
“The luncheon is an annual anniversary event in support of the BIR, now in its 24th year of telling ‘The stories of Boston’s Irish.’ In celebration of our own cultural heritage, the newspaper gives recognition to these exemplary families and individuals who share our common roots in Boston and Ireland and honors their special achievements in business and public service,” said Forry.
“The Boston Irish Reporter is proud to be a family-owned and-op-erated news organization and we delight in chronicling our Irish heritage here in Boston, the hub of Irish America.”
Luncheon tickets are at $150 each; a table of ten is $1,500. More information on sponsorship and ticket sales is available at bostonirish.com, via e-mail to honors@bostonirish.com, or by phone at 617-436-1222.
