Representing two generations of dance innovators with roots in Boston, the New York City-based Seán Curran Company will join forces this month with Decent Dance in Worcester to present “Through Lines,” a dynamic evening-length performance that marks the creative threads linking artists across time and geography. Both companies are pleased to share their work with hometown audiences.

“Through Lines” runs Dec. 6 and 7 at The Dance Complex in Central Square in Cambridge.

For Boston native Seán Curran, “Through Lines” marks a homecoming. His international career is rooted in Irish Step classes taken as a boy at the former Joy of Movement Center (now The Dance Complex). Those classes ignited a dance passion leading Curran to his long career as a globally recognized choreographer and educator.

At Decent Dance, founders Tony Guglietti and Kristen Wagner create contemporary narrative dances with wit and truth. As producers of “Through Lines,” the pair honors their own longtime relationship and the interrelationships that led the group to continued success.

Dance Complex Executive Artistic Director Peter DiMuro commented, “Seán’s return to The Dance Complex and the interwoven lives of Tony, Kristin, and Brian (Feigenbaum) give us a wonderful opportunity to enjoy the abundant creativity from each artist, and proves that the effect of relationships like these can sprout in all directions. That they have chosen to share this with us here is an honor. I’m so pleased to welcome them all back.”

“Through Lines” performers include, for Seán Curran Company: Jack Blackmon, Ashlynn DeGeorge, Dwayne Brown, Gabriella Flanders, Benjamin Freedman, Lauren Kravitz, Jacoby Pruitt, and Jin Ju Song-Begin. And for Decent Dance: Tony Guglietti, Kristin Wagner, Brian Feigenbaum, Gabriela M. Amy-Moreno, Kara Fili, Lindsay Caddle LaPointe and Carmen S. Rizzo.
