Devri goes the extra mile in helping Lucy’s Love Bus.

Local Irish/Celtic band Devri has an annual tradition of raising funds to support Lucy’s Love Bus [lucyslovebus.org], an organization that helps children dealing with cancer through alternative therapies including massage, swimming, horseback riding, music and dance. Their benefit concerts and “Booze Cruise” T-shirt sales have generated thousands and thousands of dollars for Lucy’s Love Bus programs.

Not surprisingly, with the coronavirus pandemic casting a long shadow over live performances, Devri has had to go the extra mile in helping Lucy’s Love Bus. Band member Declan Houton has been hosting Sunday evenings sessions online in his basement, and in a little more than two months raised $25,000. And until June 8, the band is making available a range of “Lockdown Survival” shirts, hoodies, beer glasses and face masks via its online store – all proceeds go to Lucy’s Love Bus.
